A solar-centric model has nothing to do with reality either, because the Sun is not the center of the universe either.

Either model works, though one is more general than the other.

Godel's incompleteness theorem tells us that no model can possibly reflect reality perfectly.

All models are imperfect.

The way we used to say it when I was going to Carnegie Mellon was "all models are wrong; some models are useful".
