"In fact, there is something about this moment that feels incredibly similar to the post-Reconstruction moment of the U.S., that period between 1877 and about 1890, when after the Hayes-Tilden Compromise, the left (Republicans at the time) sold their souls to the right in order to resituate the balance of white national unity."

This twit has no understanding of right vs. left in that era, or making a claim that the GOP was exclusively the "leftist" party. It wasn't Conservatives (such as Bourbon Democrats) fanning the flames of racist hate, it was Populist Leftists (such as Pitchfork Ben Tillman, who killed Black GOP opponents in SC and was behind policies to stop corporate spending on behalf of political causes, the very policies that Zero himself (!) championed recently with respect to the Supreme Court decisions). The left has always been hypocritical and deceitful in how it has operated and to whom it has marketed its snake oil. It has never cared about the plight of Blacks (after all, the great Socialist Social Engineer Margaret Sanger's solution to the race problem was to abort them and the White ethnics out of existence, using Black ministers). The solution to racial reconciliation and success has always and only come from the American right.

"Anti-liberalism is, after all, supremely useful to the right. Some day president Paul Ryan or Ted Cruz or Rand Paul is going to be sworn in, and an ascendant, empowered conservatism will once again try to curtail dissent in pop culture and academia, just as it always does."

What "dissent" against the current ultraleftist political and social regime do we currently see in pop culture and academia ? Anyone who dares go against the straitjacketed Stalinist/Fascist P.C. think is severely punished in ways the fake accusations of "McCarthyism" didn't dare dream of. What we need now is a LOT of dissent, more than ever before, and on a revolutionary scale.

Dr. Britney Cooper, “Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Africana Studies”. Africana? Sounds like an off-brand of shampoo.

She calls herself a “Next Generation Black Intellectual”. Isn’t that special.
