Whoa, holy smoke, so sorry to hear that. Oh God that is terrible. Why would the doc cut him off like that though? Don’t they wean a patient off? I guess they can’t though, I mean they can prescribe less but that doesn’t mean the patient will take less. He must have been in a lot of pain to be prescribed opiates though. I smashed my kneecap about 27 years ago which was pain I couldn’t even describe, and not even then did they give me that stuff and that was in the 80s.

There were reports that he had fallen, or was dragged, into the drug scene where crystal meth was prevalent..

"...or was dragged..."

Really?

That was just a pointless piece. This was the worst part “There were reports that he had fallen, or was dragged, into the drug scene...”

Give me a break, maybe there are some people who get “dragged” into the drug scene, but not people like this. He’s a Democrat, he can’t be responsibile, nothing’s his fault. This must all be Mitt Romney’s fault, somehow. But not doing drugs Romeny pushed this guy to do them, see that must have been what happened.

“South End & Cape Cod (Provincetown) are dead giveaways that he came out as gay...”

AH HA! I’m sure you are right. Well of COURSE they wouldn’t want to say anything negative about gay people, but meth has been a sccourge in the community for quite a while.

So that’s who dragged him the poor, poor man.

Not sure what they did if anything to bring him off but this guy was not a saint, he started abusing them and was booted by his doctor.

The doctor's office would call and instruct him to, "show up tomorrow with the remaineder of your prescription". When he didn't have the right amount left - done.

Opiates are still the best pain meds, I've taken them from time to time but unless I'm in a lot of pain, they put me into a very agitated, frenetic state.

I feel bad for his family but they are now released from the torment caused by his addiction. Addicts cannot be trusted, they do what it takes to get the next fix. He wasn't a bad guy, never known him to harm someone or speak poorly of another. He wasn't blessed with much intelligence but knew it and didn't carry a chip about it.

A life ended at 41, rest in peace Conz, it's over now.
