“Putin is a former KGB agent who oversaw the Most brutal monsters called Stasi who murdered and tortured German fleeing Communism”

Uhhh...
You do know that Putin wasn’t appointed to Dresden in East Germany until after Gorbachev was Premier, right?

Putin was part of the “Andropov Levy”, a young group recruited to the KGB by Andropov, who saw the Soviet Union collapsing from within, to help reform it from the inside.

He was not a “Golden Boy” being groomed for higher office, like Ivanov was. As such, he was an outsider, not part of the nomenklatura. Putin never served in the central apparatus of any of these entities, and he never rose to the KGB’s highest ranks during his official service. His formal postings in the KGB were always on the periphery, in Leningrad and in Dresden.

He supported Yeltsin during the coup, even though he despised the Oligarchs then in power.

Learn about the guy, then you may begin to understand why he is doing the things that he is.

It is CLEAR that those advising Obama haven’t done this, or more likely, Obama isn’t listening, and is trying to apply the same tactics to Putin that he has used successfully against everyone else.

He did tell Leningrad democratic reformer Anatoly Sobchak he worked at the time for the KGB. The young man’s honesty must have endeared him to Sobchak, for he was given increasing responsibility for the city.

Vladimir Putin at some point turned in his Party card when he left the KGB and never looked back. But he has been an adroit politician.

Served in various roles in both of President Yeltsin’s administrations and then was named his successor. His popularity lies in his use of common Russian and his ability to identify with the narod of Russia.

He gave it stability and rebuilt it as a great power. That I believe, is his real legacy as President.

Isn’t it clear now that he joined KGB to destroy communism from inside ?
