McCain: Jeb Bush 'Smartest Guy I Know on Education'

In a recent interview with the Tampa Bay Times at the U.S. Capitol, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said that potential 2016 presidential candidate Jeb. Bush (R) is “the smartest guy I know on education.”

McCain reportedly told the Times that he spoke with the former Florida governor a couple weeks ago about education policy.

Despite labeling Jeb Bush the most astute person he knows when it comes to education, McCain deflected when asked if Bush’s support for the Common Core could be an issue.

“What he did for education in Florida … that’s a clear record of success,” he stated.

The Times asked, “Is he a viable candidate for president, there’s a lot of question about the fact that…?”

Completing the question himself, McCain said, “That his name is Bush?” Then he added, “Somebody else’s name is Clinton.”

Keep in mind everyone: Jeb Bush being an idiot and Jeb Bush being the smartest guy John McCain knows are not mutually exclusive.

I don't know about that.

I think Moe had plenty of learning gained while attending the School of Hard Knocks.

Jeb: “God, John, please shut-up.” Even if only to himself.

Unfortunately, this is probably true...

Sorry, John. Everybody has to learn to do more with less, starting with the ‘educators’. We’re not electing another Bush so that he can shovel hush money to the teacher’s unions.

For the local school board.

I’d wish they both would take a long f...... hike. Stay the f.... out of education. Leave it to the States and disband the Dept of Education and f.... teachers’s unions.

Did Jebbie vote for Obama? I would not put it past him. Did his wife?
BTW With his Mexican-American wife Jebbie figures he has a chance with the Hispanic vote, Tying in with his asinine remarks about illegal immigration being an act of love. Mexico is one of the most obese countries. No on is starving there like lil Jebbie makes out

McCain is really the sort of "expert" that is really qualified, one may be certain, to provide the credentials for an educator!

That brilliant ex-Governor really showed his wisdom in advocating educational reform in the direction of a multi-layered bureaucracy that can only stifle the ability of teachers to relate to students on a one to one basis--that is by actually teaching the student, as opposed to a make believe robot.

Incidentally, it was McCain's hopelessly confused performance in basically pursuing the same fallacies as Obama on education, in a debate in 2008, which convinced me that despite liking his V.P. choice, I could not vote for the pathetic slogan spewing dolt in 2008.

It would be nice if Senator McCain would use the remainder of his spoken words in this life in another context.

Like, retired, golfing, in Arizona.
