People with these degrees get recruited HARD and nearly always have jobs waiting for them before they have even graduated.
I've a friend who has a younger brother who went to college and became some sort of medical technician. He operates some kind of complicated machine.
He is always getting some further certification in running these machines and any new ones that come in to the market. The last Hospital/clinic that successfully recruited him not only give him a really good salary they give him a friking house. Deal is he has to stay working with them for x number of years and then he gets to keep the house forever even if he moves on to another job and it was only like 8 years or so. And it was a nice place in a good neighborhood even had a pool and hot tub with it.
That is a true statement in some areas of the nation. Yet with the ACA however, I see job opportunities increasing but pay being squeezed down as care shifts to outpatient and pallative centers along with provider reimbursement being cut. Ah, the new normal.
