With each passing day/week/month/year, our collective patience is wearing thinner. The coming backlash will be ugly.

You have shopped for 22lr in a few years have you?

But I agree it is ridiculous.

I bought a box of 50 .22 lr a year ago. $5 in Maryland. What I could not find is the quieter bird shock. It has enough powder to propel the slug if using a revolver, but jams a semi auto. But, it is so quiet that the hammer click is louder and the kick is nonexistent.

I remember buying bricks of .22LR (500) for $2.00-2.50, in the 50s/60s. I can also remember buying 7.62x51/.308 in 2001 for 8-9 cents/rnd, in quantity. Those days are long gone.

If people would stop hoarding, prices would drop noticeably, but never to those levels again.

Rush, that's a LIE, and it's totally absurd.
Obama ABSOLUTELY MEANT for this to happen.

Only idiots and the evil voted for Obama, or ANY of the Democrats.
They've lied to us, constantly, and really are "Collapsing the System".
And now, these "Useful IDIOTS" who voted for them, are buying the lies that "Obamacare was designed to work." ?
It was designed to fail from the start.
THEN ... THEY GO TO THE "SINGLE-PAYER SYSTEM". They've been sucking our wallets dry for over four years now on the "Obamacare" LIE.
AND NOW THEY WANT MORE TAXES ?
Our Founding Fathers would have hung them already!

Lets review: So Democrats,
Sen Mark Kirk's statement Thursday, Dec 1, 2011 ... It's not our fault that DEMOCRATS raided the Social Security Trust Fund.
Let's remember ...

Not a great price, but not bad by today’s pricing and availability.

I remember $9-11 bricks, too, then. Mfg costs, taxes, shipping etc will never let ammo go backwards that far, ever.

Rush: I don't recall thinking that government (Congress) should solve my problem.

I recall in the 1940s people reacting to something that they did not like saying "There ought to be a law."

This was the era of FDR Democrats.

What was it Bob Hope said in a movie more than 70 YEARS AGO?

Richard Carlson: . . . a zombie has no will of his own. You see them some times, walking around blindly with dead eyes, following orders, not knowing what they do, not caring.

Bob Hope: You mean, like Democrats?
"Ghost Breakers" (1940)

It should be cheaper to manufacture.
Better machines, copper prices dropping....

Brass & copper prices are up, not falling. There are only a couple of mfgrs of .22LR in the US. It’s a very different process than centerfire ammo.

I had to call in to a meeting so I missed some obamacare talk. I think I will trust Drudge over Boehner....

Continual arguing over the details in Obamacare is what will keep the GOP-elite and the Marxists in power. Every future election will be about a tweek one way or the other and eventually we will have a society that could never dream of being independent of government control over their physical beings.
