This afternoon the surgeon and the anesthesiologist who are going to do tomorrow morning's small surgery and biopsy on DrO’s scalp and forehead to remove the scabs and all from what we think are infected psoriasis of some sort, instead of “cirrhosis of the liver,” his is more likely a shut down right now caused by “congested heart failure,” that isn't allowing his liver to function properly, given that his BNP is 1650, (I made a written note of those numbers and initials).
NOT that this is good news, but the “cirrhosis of the liver,” had me extremely upset and DrO as well. I had to wipe tears from his eyes and that broke my heart. I mean the strongest thing he drinks Raspberry ice tea. I couldn't believe it and couldn't understand it either, because he has no signs of jaundice, his navy blue eyes are clear and the whites of his are as white/white as always. Of course, there's still a possibility of cirrhosis, but I guess those biopsies will tell for sure. He's had a battery of tests including a bone scan that came as quite a shock and that was by accident...lol...a misunderstanding in language by a foreign doctor. DrO doesn't have any broken bones.
I should have bought a laptop a long time ago. I'm at the hospital from 6:00AM - 9:00PM. I have to be there. He needs an advocate. Just today, when I went out to the car to call penelopsire, and then to the cafeteria, he was still on the bedpan when I returned. "I" had to get him off of it ... 45 minutes later. No nurse or attendant to be found. Unreal.
Again, thank you so much for your prayers! He believes in the power of prayer with all his being and he totally trusts in God. This good and decent man means the world to me and today was his birthday so I brought him a very small cake and because of y'all's prayers, today he actually had an appetite and ate more than half all three meals!!! Praise God!
