As we went to our cabin to sleep announcement said ship would go to Florida to get the kid to a hospital.
In the morning announcement said coast guard picked Jim up and took him to Miami.
I don’t mind my taxes being spent for this.
It could well make sense to have cruise ships or their insurance companies cover such costs.
If it were a working vessel, it would be part of the cost of doing business, and if it were a pleasure vessel, such as in this case, it could be the same.
