Our Comcast, 3 in one bill, last March was $125, it has now increased to $237.
We will be going to Direct TV for the tv. We never watch HBO/Showtime and similar nets. That will be a big savings.
AT&T in this area is very unreliable. Their DSL is slower than slow and unreliable. When, we were with them, often with two different land line numbers, my wife and I couldn’t call each other in our home besides not being able to get or make outside calls. A couple of neighbors have AT&T and are thinking about renting out their driveways for AT&T to keep a truck ready to patch the old system up again.
We see at least one AT&T truck a week on our little cul de sac.
So I’m looking for a reliable satellite Internet provider. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Trac phone system has a wireless home phone system that should work for a reasonable up front cost and $15/month per line after that.
Verizon due to politics isn’t available here for tv and regular phones. Interesting fact re Verizon, they provide the good service for Trac phones and the wireless home phone system in this area.
LOL since a couple of my neighbors switched to U-Verse I'm seeing the same thing here.
I switched to Centurylink for internet and TV about 6 months. I always had them for internet service but wanted to try out their wireless desktop for TV. I have not had one issue, they haven’t “accidentally” changed my programming or pricing, and I haven’t had any outages when the winds blow or someone in the house sneezes. I pay $100 (including taxes and fees etc) a month and the TV package is the one right below premium and the broadband speed is 40mpbs
I had Comcast back when they were Adelphia...I think they were racing AT&T to see who could get to the bottom first.
There are so many channels available over air now might as well just get an antenna and save even more.
