Just got a call....XXXXX said he didn’t get paid today.
XXXXX got an advance on the 3/25 for what would be his normal pay today. Now he wants another advance. The rules say “no way”, but somehow they seem to get someone high up to sign for the advance. I HATE DOING ADVANCES! They get paid early and then wonder why they don’t get paid on payday. THEY ALREADY GOT PAID! We, payroll, fight advances tooth and nail...we usually lose, but we get the flak. *sigh*
Fortunately ALL three people that called me to say XXXXX didn’t get paid understand how advances work. His immediate supervisor will “counsel” him. It’s not payroll’s fault and the supervisor (he’s a good guy) knows that.
Dontcha just wish you set the phones sometimes & get some real work done? ROFL!
