Exactly right. I do think that whatever name is settled on will pick up some, and especially Paul, who is much less a “name” than either Bush or Christie, would make up ground faster, but the nation has gone stone stupid.
Put up another McCain/Romney and, yes, this poll will mean something.
A fiery conservative will rally Americans to his side; a limp-wristed campaign will inspire most to sit in their rocking chairs.
