"We urge you to do everything in your capacity to address this issue for our military men and women, including moving forward with the proposal to stop the sale of tobacco aboard all naval bases and ships," said the letter from Sens. If we ask our servicemen and women to give up too much they simply won’t serve. The smoking lamp is lit in all authorized spaces.

“If we ask our servicemen and women to give up too much they simply won’t serve. “

I think that may be the point of this inane plan.

Get rid of smoking but promote gay and transgender behavior??? Just wow.

Maybe they should start by getting rid of bullets or anything else that might kill somebody. Hand out pink tutus while they are at it.

That's exactly what they want...to remove the patriots from the military. To them, the military is the biggest social program around.

Suggested by “Richard Blumenthal D-CT” ....the CT AG and Senator who ran as a Vietnam Vet who “forgot” he wasn’t really in Vietnam. The media kindly left the disclosure on this up to McMahon and youtube. It was never disclosed by the consolidated media as it should have been.

While I hate smoking and I haven’t since military basic in 1967, I hate seeing nanny state regulations and laws. That said, I do enjoy the no smoking in restaurants. So maybe I’m a hypocrite.
