A quick way to kill debate is to accuse your political adversary of “lying.”
Still, it’s hard to figure out what else propels President Barack Obama to falsely assert, yet again, that employers rip off female employees by paying them 23 cents less per dollar than men – for doing the same work.
In his last State of the Union address, Obama said: “Today, women make up about half our workforce. But they still make 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. That is wrong, and in 2014, it’s an embarrassment.
A woman deserves equal pay for equal work. She deserves to have a baby without sacrificing her job.” See, the president begins the statement with a fact. That is, women on the whole make 77 cents on the dollar compared to the earnings of men, on the whole.
But here, as he has other times, Obama has added for the same work, or, as in this case, “equal pay for equal work.”
This makes the statement not only flat out false, but insultingly so.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host, Mika Brzezinski, echoed Obama: “Of course, women get paid 77 cents for every dollar men earn for the same exact job, so it’s something that needs to be rectified, obviously.”
(Now according to the Daily Beast, at $2 million, Mika makes half of what Scarborough makes. Time to hire a new agent perhaps, but it does not excuse falsely telling woman that they face a 23-cent ovary discount.)

Whoever’s writing this stuff for him is still spouting claims from the 1960s. Maybe they figure that the new generations will be gullible enough to believe it.

What's even more infuriating is that men, particularly fathers, will do nothing to either challenge this false wage gap problem or fight for their sons to eliminate the discriminatory policies that result from it. Why?
I don’t understand why it’s so hard for conservatives representatives to state the BO is lying. They always caveat it with he may not understand or he’s being fed bad information. I’d like to see someone Be upfront and state the facts:
“Obama is a pathological liar and apparently so is 90% of his administration,” and then list off the hundreds of lies he’s told over and over.
The Obama crew lie about EVERYTHING. Always.
Second, I always try to debunk this lie. If this was true I tell people why wouldn't a smart employer just hire a bunch of women for a business and pay them 77% of what he would pay men, automatically he can undercut his competition and make a nice 20% profit on top of it.
It never passes the smell test but don't let facts get in the way of creating more victims.
Third, if I'm not mistaken this dirt-bag has been shown to pay his female staffers at almost this same proportion to the males doing the same job, but like Clintooon he's impervious to criticism simply because of what he spouts.

Similarly, I’d like Jesse Jackson to tell me which Silicon Valley companies are turning away good black and Hispanic engineers, and hiring less-qualified whites and Asians instead.
Leftism is built on an edifice of lies. Why should Obama be any different? I’ll bet there’s plenty of libs who know the truth, but keep their mouths shut or echo the lies. They keep lying because many libs see themselves as victims. Victims do not want to hear or believe the truth.

The thing is, it is the SAME company. Every woman earns 7% more in every job, but women are concentrated in lower paying jobs, driving down the average. This is the root cause that needs to be addressed.
Of course you’re right, but Obama and his acolytes are not interested in presenting the truth. They want to keep their voter base in the victim camp. If they, women, are still being “oppressed” by evil white males, they will vote Democratic. That is the whole purpose of Obama lies...keep the “victims” voting for Dems.
He’s like the freakin’ pied piper who’s bound and determined to destroy any minorities chances of success and the little rats can’t get enough of his lies.
