I lost count of the number of straw men President Obama burned during his absurdly premature ObamaCare victory lap on Tuesday afternoon because Republicans literally dont want people to have health insurance or something, dontcha know but as Axelrod even admits in this segment, the real debate over whether ObamaCare is really going to change the attitude that government cant do anything has hardly even begun. Yes, the (currently dressed-up) 7 million enrollment figure (which the administration first said was their goal, then walked back, then put forward again) might mean that ObamaCare will be insanely tough to ever really undo, but the country is only just barely embarking on discovering the glories of a government-dominated healthcare market and the costs and limitations that will come with it:

Well, I think there was also an element of relief.
Im sure it was an exhilarating thing to see the demand for this insurance and the way it all came together at the end. I think that whats clear is that the people who hoisted the mission, demolished banners were a little bit premature in their doomsday forecast. So, I think it will help change the attitude that government cant do anything, that the system cant work, and that will be positive. Theres still a long way to go in the public debate. I do believe that this is not going to be repealed, I dont even think, Steve, the Republicans believe its going to be repealed, its too rooted now
If the federal government were in charge of the Sahara desert, in five years there would be a shortage of sand.
That leaves one thing...extorting and collecting money. The government is ALWAYS getting better at this. They do it really well.
In Nov. realty will hit them.
"Tyranny is a poor provider. It knows neither how to accumulate, nor how to extract." - Speech of Edmund Burke, Esq., on American Taxation April 19, 1774 [Second Edition. Dodsley, 1775.]
Are we not seeing Burke's wisdom being played out in America today?
Long before these "bozos," who call themselves by various names--"progressives," "public intellectuals," "public servants," and a plethora of other misleading descriptions, none of which include the term "tyrants"--there were assembled on this little sliver of the globe, during a spectacularly enlightened period in the history of civilization, a group of men and women who, like Burke, understood the ideas essential to liberty, and were so passionate about it that they established a Constitutional structure for a "We the People's" self-government.
Two hundred years later, through neglect of those essential ideas, and outright censorship of them from textbooks and public discourse, we risk losing the very liberties which attracted the oppressed from other nations, and a return to the Old World ideas which preceded the greatest burst of human freedom and opportunity which ever existed.
They are in full propaganda mode.
Typical liberals: Liars and they even lie to themselves, which is certifiable.
Liberals think if they tell a lie often enough people will believe it. But only they believe their own lies.
