Ahh - from Yellow Shirt to Oxymoron!
I started out as an enlisted field radio operator, went to 81mm Mortar FO and years later ended up as the S-2 in a CH-53 squadron.
Unfortunately, the A/C of a -53 in which I was co-pilot managed to blow the LSE off the deck of the USS Coronado (LPD-11) at Rosy Roads. Thankfully, the nets caught him.
