Here's the interesting thing: Putin recently gave a speech positioning Russia as the champion of "traditional values" and the counter to the increasingly "morally bankrupt" (paraphrasing him) West.

Consider that we're already moving into an era where the Liberal/Progressive US and West is going to use various sticks (including economic weapons) to push it's Liberal/Progressive agenda.

THAT'S what Putin is claiming to be drawing the line against, and trying to rally other nations behind him. It's going to make for very interesting times ahead ...
