This is the only flaw in the article. Liberalism is a smart cancer. Once it grows enough to start killing off its host, it hibernates for a while until the host can support it again. Then it just flares up again.
It'll always be here. We cannot kill it off.
It isn't what they want to hear. They've been told they're victims (which they're not) to long that they've developed a bone deep and incurable sense of entitlement that NOTHING will dislodge.
“Liberalism” is the political expression of the religion of Humanism,
which began with the words spoken by its founder in Genesis 3,
“you will be as gods, knowing good and evil”.
And as such, it will be with us until its founder is banished to the Pit for eternity.

Envy is what drives most democratic voters. They want what someone else has, but they don't want to work for it, so they'll vote for the politician who promises the most loot. To quote Mencken, "every elections is an advance auction of stolen goods."
But.. but.. didn’t Michelle Antoinette tell us the “Baraq is gonna make you work”?
The leftist pols not only play to envy,
but they lie and tell their constituents that the “haves” have because they stole what was rightfully the “have nots”.
By “work” she meant voting early and often for Baraq.

In y’alls spare time, ponder this skeptical speculation by yours truly:
The Obama and others on the Left’s opposition to efficient fracturing of Oil and Gas reservoirs is just another diversionary smokescreen to hide their main goal of Nationalizing the US Oil and Gas Industry.
As Obamacare continues to fail and drain more and more money out of the already bankrupt US Treasury, another income stream will have to be diverted from the private sector to the insatiable vote-buying greed of “both” Federal political parties.
I suspect that Obama is withholding approval of the XL Pipeline until the opportune time when Obama will be “forced to save” the US Oil and Gas Industry by Nationalizing all US Oil & Gas pipelines, and then use taxpayer dollars to built the XL Pipeline to Chicago with all Union Labor, and Democrat Contractors.
Obama would then have a secure income stream to pay for much of Obamacare, or any replacement insurance “tax” derivatives as might be proposed in the future by the doormat RINOs or Mrs. Bill Clinton.
I used to think so too. Then came the sheeple's rejection of a semi-sane Liberal (Mitt Romney) in favor of an insane "we want it all now" Liberal (BO).
Romney, at least, understood that more employment was necessary to support the nanny state. BO's supporters refused to do so. This cannot end electorally, much as I wish it could.
