What someone needs to do is pull the remarks from the Congressional Record and compare/contrast with the video.
Dirty little secret is that Senators have the right to “revise and extend” their floor remarks. Would LOVE to have documented evidence that he and his staff scrubbed the transcript before it was entered into the official record.
Reid is pretty old school, probably figures that he can get away with it.
