Who do you believe? Pope and President disagree about what was discussed in their meeting

Hmm, whom are we going to believe? The occupant of the Throne of St. Peter or the current laureate in Politifact’s “Lie of the Year” award?

Here is CNN’s reporting of the clashing accounts given by President Obama and Pope Francis of their conversation Thursday:

The two men greeted each other with a smile and a handshake and posed for pictures before sitting down across a table from each other. They spoke privately for nearly an hour.

When they emerged from the meeting, the President and the Vatican had slightly different takes on the tenor of their discussions, especially when it came to issues that have frayed the relationship between the Obama administration and American Catholic leaders.

"... (I)t was hoped that, in areas of conflict, there would be respect for humanitarian and international law and a negotiated solution between the parties involved," the Vatican said in a statement. "In the context of bilateral relations and cooperation between Church and State, there was a discussion on questions of particular relevance for the Church in that country, such as the exercise of the rights to religious freedom, life and conscientious objection. ..."

Would not surprise me if the Pope did raise concerns about the ACA law in the USA and the abortion issue in that meet-up.

One has to oneself - who would be more likely to call the other one a liar, Satan or the Pope?

I don’t know.......lets see....

The leader of the Catholic Church, spiritual decendant of St. Peter, a man who has devoted his life to Jesus.....

Or the illegitimate offspring of a Kenyan muslim, a man (I use the term loosely) who wouldn’t know the truth if it jumped up and bit him on the butt.......

No contest.

FOX played a video clip of the liar lying this morning.

Just watching Obama lie, you could see that he was lying. The body language said it all.

He was not as slick as he usually is. Could be because while on this trip he has lied quite a bit and is being called out by foreigners.

I’m going to go with the Pope on this one.

To date, he has not told me any bald-faced lies as far as I know.

Mr. Obama lies every single time he opens his mouth.

The undocumented Tyrant is a DOCUMENTED LIAR,

only believed and supported by the treasonous,
EXEMPT, and utterly hated, US Congress.

The body language said it all. Obama had guilt and sin and "bad boy" written all over his face.

Obama, thinking the mike was off, asked the Pope: "You got any leverage?"

Did Obama lean over to the Pope and say, “After the election this year, I’ll be able to do more for you?”

One pseudo fascist (pope) and one full-blown fascist meeting...should go swimmingly.

Classic example of worldview “lenses” through which people interpret observations.

I don’t think Obama is entirely sane. I never have. Sometime between the photo of him as a toddler on the bicycle and whatever events led him to write the poem ‘Pop’, he was psychologically and intellectually mutilated.
