It was Obama’s weakness that made Putin move on the Crimea. If Obama had been more like GWB Putin would likely have kept up the nice guy image.

Actually, there is a difference. Bush decided sanctions were ineffective and counter-productive given our close intelligence cooperation with Russia, which has saved lives for both countries. Instead, Bush worked with France and brokered a deal whereby Russia withdrew and the disputed areas became, and are independent.

Russia has actually annexed the Crimea.
