Ho-hum, a mob of 200 teenagers rampages through the downtown of an American city, assaulting and hospitalizing people and robbing stores. The mayor calls for calm.
And nobody outside that local media market, where it cannot be ignored, hears a thing about it.

Yes, Hollywood will soon feature mob scenes on one of their shows/movies. Of course, like all criminals portrayed on film, all will be white.
I have family in Kentucky and they open carry. I wonder if Louisville has a city ordinance restricting that right.
I am sure there was some sort of anger about something that starts things like this. When it is in full swing, I would wager that 99.9% of the “teens” have no idea why they are there. They just jumped in the opportunity to destoy things and steal things.
What better way to protest social injustices by hauling a 50inch flatscreen down the street.
Once the American Left admits publically black disfunction the literal bottom will fall out of black political power, and they will be less popular than jews were in Germany circa 1938. As it is right now blacks are being disenfranchised on the left thru passive aggressive means, but some day it will be overt and it won’t be pretty. If you want to see this then pay attention to Chicago politics.
“Insurrection” is an interesting choice of words to describe the rampage(s), as used in the article.
Article I, Section 8 allows Congress to call forth the militia to “suppress insurrections” among other reasons.

No back in the olden days if something like this happened, a section of the city would burn down, and the next morning(comment removed before the mods see it), but then it would be safe to walk the streets for years.
Remember that Univ of Louisville just won a basketball game to get to Sweet 16 and maybe they were just “celebrating”.
Wait to see what happens if they beat U of Kentucky this weekend.

Yes they were. “My baby di’in do nuffins” is right from the reference book. So is “he was just turning his life around” (after raping an 80yo woman), “he was an aspiring rapper” (he had no legal job), and in the case of robbery, home invasion, rape, etc, in which either the perp or the victime is murdered, it was a “robbery/home invasion/rape/etc gone wrong”. The lines are like a broken record.

The police chief and mayor keep saying Waterfront Park is safe. I have a cousin who works for LMPD and he says not so, not even close. The police kept breaking up these “mobs” and not one person was arrested for assault. A man was arrested for having a gun, but not one person arrested for assault as they broke up seven different attacks in the downtown area. Hmmm, might that have been part of the problem? This was handled horribly.
Whats funny to me are mainstream commercials.
Usually there is a short story. Usually there is a smart individual that uses the advertised product and a stupid individual that does not. The commercials enact a short story that portrays a smart person that uses the product winning in a situation where the stupid person does not use the product. Thus the stupid person is humiliated.
100% of the time the stupid person is male as in a husband or boyfriend. 99% of the time the male is white.
100% of the time the winning smart person is black or female.
NEVER is the person portrayed as the fumbling idiot black and the winning smart person white. EVER.
