Obama administration will allow more time to enroll in health care on federal marketplace

The Obama administration has decided to give extra time to Americans who say that they are unable to enroll in health-care plans through the federal insurance marketplace by the March 31 deadline.

Federal officials confirmed Tuesday evening that all consumers who have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by Monday, will have until about mid-April to ask for an extension.

Under the new rules, people will be able to qualify for an extension by checking a blue box on HealthCare.gov to indicate that they tried to enroll before the deadline. This method will rely on an honor system; the government will not try to determine whether the person is telling the truth.

The rules, which will apply to the federal exchanges operating in three dozen states, will essentially create a large loophole even as White House officials have repeatedly said that the March 31 deadline was firm. . .

He looks dreadful and I doubt it’s from missing Michelle.

He’s going to look worse when Putin rips his marbles off for that little slap in the face about Russia being a “regional” or local power. If I were Putin, I’d be in eastern Ukraine tomorrow, securing my supply lines to Crimea.

Obviously they had to do this because of the great success the program’s been... Or that’s what Nan will say in the morning.

Actually you are closer to the truth than you think. Enrollees can make one payment and then can’t be cancelled for 90 days. The Insurance company can start refusing to pay submitted claims after 30 days. So in essence if the insured does not make any more payments but has medical services in days 31 to 90 the insurance company will deny to pay the claim and the doctor or hospital will be on the hook to collect. Good luck with that.

The boy king wants another do-over.

How can you AGREE in writing to any insurance policy if the White Hut King can change it by decree in a moment’s notice?

Your rates are not fixed. Your coverage is not fixed. Your deductibles are not fixed. They can all be changed by a stroke of Obama’s pen.

If you believe them after all of their other lies, you deserve what you get...

Why aren’t the Republicans going after all of this as Obama is way overstepping his authority. He castrates them one by one and no one even squawks about it.

1:Republicans do not need to go after any of this. Obamacare it will destroy itself because it's not sustainable.

2:Republicans are too stupid to realize a perfect opportunity. Except for maybe Cruz.
