I actually have some experience in Pol-Mil Wargaming from years ago both in Checkmate and the Center for Low Intensity Conflict. The first, absolutely first, rule is never directly involve the head of state. He or she can watch but should not become directly involved. When one does become involved it lets an audience see how you think and what you would do. This goes all the way back to Kennedy and his first Pol-Mil game that was done at Camp David.
This;
‘The first, absolutely first, rule is never directly involve the head of state. He or she can watch but should not become directly involved. When one does become involved it lets an audience see how you think and what you would do”
is such common sense but I wouldn’t have thought of it.
However one would hope the so called leader of your country would be smart enough to think of it
thank you for pointing this out
Well spoken.
This latest action is positively stupefying in its utter naivete.
I wouldn’t let Obama run a game of Harpoon without being afraid of him attacking his own side. As for comment, I have come to the conclusion that all of the professionals from the 80’s have either left or been pushed aside.
Interesting...
True enough but in the case of the Kenyan it’s fine with me if the rest of the world tries to read his mind. Giving away the secrets of a blitheringidiot is hardly a strategic disadvantage. Let ‘em think they know what’s on his pea sized mind. If push comes to shove a guy with four stars will escort the dumbass to a padded room and keep him quiet until the fight is over.
Agree.
Checkmate. . .HQ/XOXX?
When were you there?
Did we cross paths?
