Nor do I. If you read the second line of the story, you'll see that the Egyptian courts didn't pass the sentences for political beliefs — they passed them for actions.

“A court in Egypt has sentenced to death 528 supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.

They were convicted of charges including murdering a policeman and attacks on people and property.”

Every kangaroo court convicts people based on supposed “actions.” Convicting 528 people of murder in a two-day trial just screams politically-motivated show trial.
