Like everything else, you can learn this by reading Flashman. Buggery is quite common there.

“Afghan women are handsome rather than pretty, but they have this great advantage to them, that their own men don’t care for them overmuch. Afghan men would as soon be perverts as not, and have a great taste for young boys; it would sicken you to see them mooning over these painted youths as though they were girls, and our troops thought it a tremendous joke.”

Sir Harry Flashman’s experience with women of many cultures would make Giovanni di Casanova green with envy.

It is sickening to think about our American blood and treasure that has been poured into this medieval s***hole called Afghanistan.

A friend returned from deployment there (as infantry at village level) with descriptions of `Man-Boy Thursdays’ & `Bacha Bazi’ that were stomach turning. He saw the `trial’ of a man & woman in a normal relationship where the two were not married; it was terminated with the man beheaded and the woman shot & buried face down.

Disgusting savages, the lot of them.

Not a joke about the predilection for boys. My son reported the the Afghan tribal leaders invited the US soldiers without a heavy beard to stay around. Even the Afghan army units traveled with their young boy “pets.” Some of the green on blue violence occurred when a US soldier would offend an Afghani, teasing him about being a homosexual(they deny that a male having sex with a male is homosexual behavior.) The “custom” of pederasty was introduced by Alexander the Great when he conquered that part of the world.

But at last in the end, our troops were allowed to carry loaded weapons on the bases and when they interacted with the natives.
