Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))
It’s going well considering that it’s way too early for this Night Owl. LOL!
Hope you and Bo have a good weekend and can get back out to the lake. It was really cold up there in OK when I was there. :)

Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Thank you, fatima, for preparing the Canteen
for todays activities.
Got to post and run.
I want to leave a little early today
to run some errands on the way home.
Will be in lurker mode most of the day,
and will respond when I can.
But, please stay right where you are.
Chat up the military and/or their families.
Remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM ~ DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

“Moon of Alabama” was from “The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny” by Brecht and Weill. Morrison was a big fan of Brecht and Weill, and “People are Strange” was his attempt to write a modern tune in their style. It not only sounds like the kind of twisted Brecht-Weill tune they would have written in the Twenties, but it translates quite nicely into German.

Thanks. The influences the Doors brought into their work is incredible for a rock band. It’s a good thing we have the Internet to learn about them. I’m still learning.
