"launching a design competition to demonstrate the extent to which Americans are vulnerable to coastal flooding; releasing new federal map data to depict which aspects of the nation's infrastructure are vulnerable to climate change; In other words, lying to expand the flood zones to include more home sites in mandatory flood insurance so as to bleed the "rich" and feed the "poor." A pox on them. BTW: What the hell is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration doing in this matter? TC

I might ask them some pointed questions about AGW. Wonder if my questions will be ignored.

Blame Bush is getting tiresome, the race card has been overplayed, blame the republicans leads to blaming the democrats too, blame the Koch brothers isn't getting traction. So let's blame Global Warming. That can be our next straw man to distract the masses from everything that is going on. We can't always count on a Hurricane Sandy to pull our bacon out of the fire.
Those higher heating and cooling bills aren't due to us shutting down coal-fired plants, preventing the Keystone pipeline or tying up oil drilling. It's Global Warming. Higher vegetable prices aren't due to poor water usage decisions. Its Global Warming, Higher meat prices aren't due to mandated ethanol usage in gasoline depleting feed grain. It's Global Warming.
And just you wait. You are not going to believe the number of things that contribute to Global Warming.
(I capitalized Global Warming as I do to all of the World's major religions)

The Global Warming fiasco will have Al Gore's historical fame right up there with Nero.
All Al Gore needs now is a fiddle to play on ... and on ... and on.
