...people who stayed home because Romney was not pure enough for them.

I didn't vote for Romney because I wanted someone who would dial back the welfare state and reduce the size and power of our government.

Someone who was on board with the Republican platform, in other words. None of our mainstream Republican candidates seem to be so... and it takes more than "not being the other guy" to win the vote of anyone you'd respect.

You mean you wanted to vote for something?

(sarcasm off)

After nearly 40 years of straight Republican ticket voting, in 2012 I voted for a plurality split to at worst weaken the Uniparty winner. To waste a vote by staying home is surrender. I voted third party. I will do it again in 2016 if necessary.
