Libs are basically pagans. This is how pagans think. Consistent with putting nature above humanity.

You see a gun; I see a B2 bomber.

The question is, will the electorate see past the obnoxious, adolescent, junior-high-school psychosis of the left and stop voting for it or will they perpetuate it?

Just asking.

IMHO

Libs can not distinguish between big and small problems.
Serious libs can't distinguish between real and imaginary problems. Or they refuse to do so.

We need a sane judge to declare that fingers, pastries, papers and images are not actual firearms and therefore not a threat and not covered by any anti-gun policy.
If it's not a gun it's not a gun.

At the basis of the left’s worldview (ie, pychosis) is the incorrect assumption of the nature of Man.

They believe that humans are “basically good”. They want to believe this because they see themselves as “basically good”.

Now if a person is basically good and acts in evil ways, something external must have caused it.

So, “obviously”, the solution is to change those external factors such that people act “good” in response.

There’s nothing more complex than that. And from that base assumption stems everything in their belief system, all the way up to the belief in Communism as Utopia.

A friend of mine sells gun shaped bottle opener/keychains.

The Zero-tolerance/Zero-sense crowd would have a cerebral hemorrhage over one of those. I wonder what they would do if a kid had one hanging of his backpack or belt loop?

I told him he should hand them out in the USA to people in any foolish town that doesn't know the difference between a pop-tart, finger-gun, keyring or toy popgun.

The “powers that be” don’t really believe the malarkey they push upon the peons regarding guns, climate, etc. It’s all about controlling the populace and eliciting desired behaviors. Common sense is the antidote to the poison spread by the puppet masters.

...Witchcraft explained accidents or coincidences. Such creatures would be considered primitive and un-evolved in our time, given the span of human progress, the explosion of knowledge, and the fact that we are at the pinnacle of whatever evolution we have undergone so far. We look back at the prejudices of such people and recognize, from our more informed and enlightened perch, that their beliefs were driven by their limited ability to know the reasons for what occurred around them, and that in the absence of knowledge, irrational fear needs the comfort of answers, even if contrary to nature.

How then to explain that, despite human progress, such people are still among us in astounding numbers, defying the very Darwinian theories to which they have vehemently sworn allegiance?

The very notion of "progress" itself assumes an established goal or destination by which to assess movement toward that that goal or destination, which is antithetical to Darwinian theories. Darinisim does not permit notions of Chance choosing purposefully between variants; it purports a causal process in which goals play no role. The author here is not providing an internally self-consistent philosophical response to progressives and gun banners.

Cordially,

There is an interesting parallel between progressive intolerance for sovereign citizens owning guns and conservative intolerance for sovereign governments owning nukes. Yet 'an armed society is a polite society' perhaps even in the society of nations. Case in point is how the Pakistan v. India situation has quieted since they both got nukes.

Oh but 'the Iranians are crazy.' Well, there are crazy citizens too. Certainly Pakistan was crazier before they had the capability, but that may not mean anything substantive.

I'm not taking a position here, but simply musing for comment. It is a conundrum in principle, in that we are dealing with people who will strap bombs on their children. Where then does one draw the line and how?
