When I first checked onto my first ship a certain 1st Class attempted to take me under his wing. Did not take me long to figure out why. I was lucky to not have had to fight him. Only because he figured out that he was gonna be in for a helluva fight.
It happens more often than you think. I know of others with similar experiences. One who was not so lucky.
Hell, we had a guy wake up in his rack with another guy honking on his unit. He beat him half to death when he finally woke up.
Interesting. Interesting data points. Thanks.
I just don't see the military as a widespread attraction to young gay males. Or for there to be a widespread or emerging gay-based sexual harassment problem in the military. Perhaps some sort of guy-gal or gal-guy harassment problem, maybe. This smells like an accounting-based emerging issue. A bureaucratic-triggered data-collection manufactured issue.
There has ALWAYS been a military subculture of homosexuals. There WERE held in check. That is no longer the case.
I know that all assault statistics are overblown, but I do not doubt for a second that predatory (and they are that) homosexuals are flexing their new found freedoms in the military.
They publish all the cases. A lot of assaults on room dogs. Guy gets toasted and wakes up to his roomy pulling a fast one. Now that DADT is over they have no fear.
