Does the time make sense?

I'm not at all certain the location even makes sense. Would like to know the direction this plane was supposedly traveling.

Here's the Maldives' location (at the marker):

Malaysian Air Force that its military radar tracked the plane as it passed over the small island of Pulau Perak.

If you draw line from where the aircraft turned and the island of Pulau Perak you will hit Maldives.
