A south Louisiana lingerie store has posted on its front door to indicate it accepts most credit cards, including the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.
Kiss My Lingerie, in Gonzales, sells adult specialty items. The store moved into the Magnolia Shopping Center on South Burnside Avenue a few years ago. However, accepting the EBT payment is something that happened eight months ago, according to the owner. The owner went on to say the store accepts every form of payment and does not discriminate against customers.
A woman who works near the store and asked not to be identified said in the last few weeks, she's noticed more people going inside the adult shop. She added that's when she saw the message on the front door of the store that the EBT card is listed as an acceptable form of payment.

We can’t have lingerie stores, casinos, and even Louis Vuitton retailers discriminating against poor people. That would be an outrage.

When you say “EBT”, you’re saying “black” - at least to folks like Barbara Lee.
Now... wouldn’t THAT be “racist”?
And it’s ageist to keep taking borrowed money from kids.
We are $18+ trillion in debt. We are not paying for any of this. We are taking money from the unaware kids who are graduating college with a $28,000.00 average debt, lowest labor participation rate of all, unemployment rate 12%, hundreds per month for phone internet and car and a tax bill which includes 25% to social security that they’ll never see, and paying for those who did not take care of them, day care kids, who never even had parents, much less both parents, in the house.
It’s time we start paying attention to them. Discriminate use of welfare, or self destruction.

EBT certainly has limits, not al grocery items ne selling porn or sex toys (this is not Macy’s underwear section) is operating unlawfully and that needs to be enforced
EBT is cash as well as food.
I strongly suspect few would want to see the wearers of the lingerie bought there modeling for them.
