Recreational Drug Use Is Sinful. Note that I'm a member of a local church of Christ congregation -- not the La Vista church which is up in Omaha -- thus my bias. I think the points made in the article are Scripturally sound. Others, perhaps yourself, may vehemently disagree. If so, fine, but I still can't dismiss how President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy, were "inflexible" in their opposition to drugs. When push comes to shove, I'll stand solidly with President and Nancy Reagan and be unwavering in my opposition to the evil hussein obama, a servant of Satan, who states:
As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life. I don't think it is more dangerous than alcohol.
So despite recreational drug use being considered sinful in the Bible, there was no secular prohibition, and no admonition that there should be such laws.
Therefore, there is no biblical basis to say there should be secular prohibition laws today.
