“...if you are loyal to what America was conceived of and stood for....”

If you are, then you don’t bug out.

“...They came to what America was. It is a shadow of that nation today...”

True enough. But enough of it remains that is worth doing whatever is necessary to preserve it. As you said way back in your first post to me “I will fight until then, but I wonder if we have jumped the shark already...”

Would you say that if you didn’t believe it was STILL worth fighting for?

But...we’ll agree to disagree. Rather than go around and around.

You and I probably agree on many things. On this, we don’t. I’ll leave it at that.

Have a great night.

The only deplorable behavior I’ve seen is by a guy who likes to sit around half-a-world away and make rude and crass comments about this country.

I won’t excuse any deplorable behavior on either side.

"Here we disagree - unless you are now advocating that we commence firing."

I don't think we're there yet. There are still things we can and should try before opting for a nightmare no sane person really wants.

Yes, laws are enforced from the barrel of the gun, but who is in charge of those guns can still be removed from power and replaced with those who can responsibly handle that kind of power.

But in order to make that happen, as I've said before, it's gonna take all of us getting off our a**es and getting to work. Far too many of us are so lazy we just shrug our shoulders and repeat the surrender monkey mantra, "There's nothing we can do about it, there's nothing we can do about it, there's nothing we can do about it...". Even more who don't have a clue as to what they're asking for are ready to fix bayonets and start taking shots. The answer to our problems lies somewhere between those two extremes.

Again, I believe our rights are as strong as ever...we're not.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

OK, we disagree on two things. It may have to stay that way...

“Yes, laws are enforced from the barrel of the gun, but who is in charge of those guns can still be removed from power and replaced with those who can responsibly handle that kind of power.”

The Republican establishment told RINOmney, according to his interview, that they basically stole the primaries to get him across the finish line. Stole.

There is no Reagan, ready to take over. Bush I & II had some good qualities, made very large mistakes. Other RINO candidates were lousy and probably a waste of campaign dollars to fund their campaigns. McLaim would have gone Democrat in policy. Dole was a RINO. MittRINOmney was lame as well.

You believe we can decide who wields power. I believe this is an illusion. Whoever you elect, with rare exceptions, goes native. We are getting ready for silly season to again commence on FR, where everyone roots for their favorite “conservative”, then settles for a losing RINO and castigates everyone who doesn’t give and work and vote for their new favorite RINO. I quit playing that game. I don’t vote for RINOs.

“Again, I believe our rights are as strong as ever...we’re not.”

The courts say no. Sadly. I don’t believe you will make the clock run backwards on this.

I love America - that I grew up with - but I realize it is no longer the country I grew up in, except for the actual geography. Despite our warmest and fondest feelings and memories, it is a different country. It is filled with 47 million food stamp recipients. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I sold my businesses so I will no longer be funding the mass giveaway.

Rush says he is optimistic, but can’t put his finger on the reason. We need someone to push the pendulum to the opposite side quickly. We don’t have one in the wings who will do so.

Winning the Senate would slow the progression to Socialism, but not stop it. It is something, but RINOs prevail there and do terrible damage to our country.

I realize many patriots cannot bring themselves to admit the state of our union. They are blinded by memories, values, feelings... etc. I understand where they are coming from. I share most of those.

I have taken the red pill and see it as it actually is and not as I want to remember it.

A ‘Potted Plant’! Now that was funny right there. But I’m beginning to think you are correct...
