I often wonder if they somehow notify the government of the countries involved and leave it up to them to report it or not.
I have very serious doubts about the reported cause of the crash of TWA 800 over NYC.

It would not surprise me, since our government has demonstrated repeatedly that they do not believe Americans in general can handle news which reflects poorly on “protected” minorities.
