To me the real news here is that Ben Carson came in at all. He’s never made a move to run for President and this shows that he can rally the troops without lifting a finger.

There are about a billion reasons I want Ben, yes he’s black and according to President Obama’s example, that should make him bullet proof. But more than that, he’s educated, articulate, conservative, and he earned everything he has. I believe he would push to get us back to a truly free country.

“No defense of marriage. No defense of human life.”

Today, the women’s panel spent a huge amount of time on pro-marriage with father and mother. Carly Fiorina emphasized anti-abortion, as did Palin. Most likely there were other instance, but I didn’t watch or hear all of the conference.

Governments don’t have morals but people do.Governments have killed more people in the world than anyone so we know where their morals stand.

We already have a Senator as POTUS. We need a governor.

The person who buses the most people in for the straw poll wins at CPAC. It requires a heavy investment of not only paying for the buses but also the registrations. Usually they all show up on the bus just for the voting only.

Governments are made up of people. If those people have morals, the government is moral. If those people are immoral, so is the government. A government is a vessel - it is filled with the morals of the people occupying the positions. Government, in and of itself, cannot be with or without morals, as it is a void until filled with people.

Governments, like guns, do not kill people. People kill people.

That is what libertarians support, which one do you think inaccurately summarizes the relevant portion of their political platform?

As soon as I discovered what was involved in straw polls...I quit paying attention to them...and that includes the “biggie” in Iowa.

Yes, Dr Ben Carson would be terrific! A man with common sense and a man who loves this country. A man who has made many tough decisions in his medical career. A man who is black and conservative. Not afraid of being attacked by the left. A man who puts importance on a good education. A man who is a Christian. That’s where the left would try to destroy him. He’s already said he had no skeletons in his closet.
Over the years, I have found him to be as sincere today as he was in the past. He hasn’t changed his stance on what he believes.
And just maybe... there are many blacks who are disappointed in obama and would vote for him “because he’s black”.

The Drudge poll is interesting though. Paul and Cruz have been neck and neck all day and way out in front of everyone else.

Also, it’s interesting that Bush is doing better than all of the other serious candidates, or candidates-to-be.

The fact that Santorum is doing so poorly (less than 1%), and our other choices last time around besides him were Cain, Gingrich, and Perry (jumping in late when it became obvious no one was beating Romney) tells you how bad shape the GOP was in two years ago.

I’d also like to have seen Ben Carson’s name and Marco Rubio’s name on the Drudge list, just to see how they’d do.

I suspect Rand Paul is for real, and not just the spoiler that his dad tended to be. If he had Carson or Palin for a VP, or Cruz, it would be an interesting ticket.

It’s true.

You point out how silly (or dishonest) libertarians are, social liberalism creates liberal voters, just as it has for the last 60 years, the broken nation that libertarians envision would be a nation where conservatism is forever erased and blocked from ever arising again.

It is social conservatives who created America and who vote for the traditional America, of small government and conservative economics, the social liberals vote the opposite, and it is the conservatives that libertarians want to destroy.

You missed a great history lesson on government 101 and how many people they have killed in the past all over the world.America treated Indians like the plague and wiped them out like animals for the socalled greater good for economic gain.

It always seems to come down to God vs. no God. Let’s face it - social conservatives = Judeo Christian morals. If you are against that, you are anti-God.

No the American government didn’t do that, but to get back to libertarians, why did you ignore post 112?
