Current trade, USA to China: 122 Billion dollars.

Current trade, China to USA: 440 Billion dollars.

(2013 year)

“Free trade for all”, except in reality, Free trade just for China.

I didn’t say anything about trade imbalance, I was talking about manufacturing. It’s purely a myth that we can “bring those jobs back” because we can’t. They’re gone forever, lost to a machine or to cheaper labor.

And the machines continue to get cheaper over time, so I wouldn’t be trying to build my economy on cheap labor, if I had the choice.

And don’t count out Gov. Perry from Texas. Yeah, he bungled it real bad back in ‘12, but I like him.

I’ve lived with Rick Perry for 2 1/2 decades in Texas politics. In Texas, the Lt. Gov. is the one with most of the power..... check it out. The Gov. negotiates for jobs to come to Texas and is more cermonial w/veto power. To be honest with you (and you can ask Texas folks) Rick Perry is not the brightest light in the harbor.

China made a deliberate effort to assume America’s productive status, by taking it away from us.

China’s trade is NOT open. America’s is.

We are at a distinct disadvantage.

Bring back manufacturing to America.

Rand Paul a Conservative? I think not. In his own way he has whacko idiosyncrasies every bit as stupid....and liberal...and dishonest as his lying, whack job sire!/IMHO.

Yes.

He doesn’t support my 2nd Amendment rights, therefore, I won’t be voting for him.

Furthermore, he isn’t a fighter. He’s too gentle. I have nothing against the man personally, but I have no intention of electing him.

You drank Perot's kool aid.

Perot ran to pay GHWB back for telling him "no" when Perot had tried to get Bush to work for him several years before. Nobody told Perot "No." It was personal. Perot was a control freak.

You’re exactly right. Cruz is more conservative, moderates will pick Christie or Bush over Paul. He is becoming a man without a country. Paul has been able to appeal to younger voters. Could learn some things there.

I assume your Post 39 is referring to Rand Paul. I wouldn’t vote for him either.

Negative, Din, it refers to Dr. Carson.

Incidentally I also do not support Rand Paul and would not vote for him.

Ted Cruz is the only person that I have seen whom I believe has what it takes to lead the country back from oblivion.

I haven’t seen anyone else who gets it, has what it takes, has the smarts, mettle and balls to get it done, and explain how and why it should be done.

He’s the real deal.

P Marlow and bigbob, I agree!!!

If one really wants to "bring back American jobs," then AGGRESSIVELY IDENTIFY AND ELIMINATE THE CAUSES FOR THEIR DISAPPEARANCE. Americans are forced to buy products, food, and energy created in other countries BECAUSE American government has made it a losing proposition for American companies to produce those items here in the U.S.

Cringing, if you really want to "bring back American jobs," then ATTACK THE CAUSES OF THEIR LOSS and ATTACK POLITICIANS WHO SUPPORT THOSE CAUSES.

Any politician can AND WILL say that they are "for bringing back American jobs." So what!!! The politician who actually will deliver on that promise is the politician who will fight to reduce government regulations, from environmental to labor to health insurance to public safety requirements that simply make trying to do business in America too expensive to make a profit.

The reason we have to buy products made in China is because American government makes outlaws of Americans who try to produce it themselves.

Amen! The good news is that Cruz mentions the job issue often! The economy and jobs is the number one issue across this nation. He gets it!

You can’t work if you can’t find a job. You can’t “start a business” if your capital is gone and you can’t do house painting, housekeeping and yard work for people who can’t afford you. The competition is staggering! Everybody except the Mooches have already turned to those venues.

Paul strikes me as feeling “entitled” to the presidency. He has forsaken the TEA Party and is currying for the illegal, lefty vote. Just the arrogance of his lecturing us on how to behave has me bristling. He does not speak for me. People are making a big mistake if they think he supports our issues. He does not.

If you support a third party candidate in the primaries, you divide the chance for a real conservative to be nominated, except in states with run-off primaries. This division causes us to have a bad candidate for the nomination. I don ‘t understand why Libertarians don’t get that! Then you turn around and blame the candidate on Republicans! Some chutzpah!

And look at Virginia! The Libertarian vote denied Cuccinelli the nomination by falling for the spoiler plant who was anything but a Libertarian! Now it is doubtful that Virginia will ever be red again. People cut off their nose to spite their faces!

Help the TEA Party take back the Republican Party! We need to unseat the Rinos! A third party doesn’t stand a chance thanks to the rigged system!
