Cornyn voted against Obamacare — agree or disagree?

Disagree - He voted for cloture knowing that if it made it to the floor, it would pass. Which makes him a duplicitous bastard.

If he is supposedly a conservative, then the Supreme Court ruling notwithstanding, he knows Obamacare is unconstitutional and he has an oath to defend the constitution, so he should never vote for anything to get out of committee, funding or actual passage of bill, if it is unconstitutional.

He's a duplicitous, traitorous, Trojan-Horse of a Democrat Collaborator with that one vote on cloture.

Argue anything else you want to, throw up all his votes on everything else, and on that one failure to honor his oath, he deserves to be kicked out and tarred and feathered.

I’d love 2 Ted Cruz from Texas...If I lived there, I would not have voted for Cornyn in the primary if he were against a Ted Cruz...or someone like him. That stated, he has won the primary, and I’d rather have Cornyn than a Dem...

Mark Warner was supposed to be a conservative democrat in Virginia...You could argue he was the 60th vote for Obamacare.

Dems are worse than the GOP, almost every time...doesn’t matter who the Republica Lite member is...Even Juan McCain is better than every single Democrat in the Congress...if we have a chance to rid ourselves of McCain in a primary, then I am all for it...but in the General, go with the most conservative...

This must hurt, from Ted Cruz today:

“Congratulations to every Republican who won the primary last night. Three, in particular, deserve special mention,” Cruz wrote Wednesday on Facebook, before mentioning Attorney General Greg Abbott (a candidate for governor), Cornyn, and George P. Bush (candidate for land commissioner).

“John is a friend, and a good man. He’s earned considerable respect in the Senate. We have not agreed on everything, but we have agreed on the vast majority of issues. Together, we’re a strong and effective team for Texas,” Cruz wrote, later adding that he is “proud” to endorse Cornyn.

Cruz did the right thing in being a party man and in refusing to endorse anyone in the primary, which is basically a family fight. He’s a smart politician.

Cornyn squeaked by after spending $6 million against ineffective competition.

And in a primary. No real conservative would need to shoot all of his wad in a primary. Good luck in the real election.

Cruz is a smart guy.

The elation of flushing a RINO is temporary, and the pain of a Democrat senator lasts 6 long years.

Didn’t Cruz endorse a select few or a least some Judicial races? Seems like I read that some where.

I think he made a few endorsements for lesser seats, but not in the gubernatorial or senate races.

Those endorsements are coming forth now.

Cruz’s post-primary endorsement of Cornyn

“He’s earned considerable respect in the Senate. We have not agreed on everything, but
we have agreed on the vast majority of issues,” Cruz posted Wednesday on Facebook.
He added that he was “proud” to endorse Cornyn – along with two other GOP nominees:
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott for governor, and George P. Bush for land commissioner.

“My position all along — you and I have had this conversation a hundred times —
is that I’m likely going to stay out of incumbent Republican primaries. It’s no
longer an incumbent Republican primary,” Cruz said. “From Day 1 John Cornyn and I have
had a good working relationship. We have been friends.
We have agreed on the vast
majority of issues. I think we’re a strong and effective team working for Texas.”

He noted that even without an endorsement, he did donate to Cornyn’s campaign.
That was last May, when his political action committee sent a $2,500 check.
