This was incredibly easy although I would argue some of the answers given as correct are false.

The question (and I'm paraphrasing") what is the economic system of America and the "correct" answer was "capitalism". Capitalism is a pejorative coined by Marx to describe what we had always called the free enterprise system. The "Free Enterprise System" is a better term, although one could argue that we actually have neither system at this point.

Another question lists powers and asks which is a power of the states. The correct answer is "to provide education". While this might be an actual power of a state, it is not inherently a power of the state. This is a common misunderstanding of the 10th amendment.

For the record: I got 98% Missed the one on when to register for the draft and the 3 colonies (chose too fast).

Maybe people should have to take this test to vote. Just sayin'

93%. Flubbed a couple of stupid ones I knew. I’m sure I scored better that 90% of today’s HS students.

Got two wrong.

Didn't read all the choices on one question, answer was, all the above.

Second question was date of signing of the Constitution. Always get mixed up on that one.

93% — where do I pick up my citizenship papers?

As others have said, the questions were easy — even for a foreigner, like me. Also, most just trivia questions — they aren’t a measure of actually understanding, what it means to be an American citizen. They certainly can’t measure whether you have internalized what citizenship means.

95/96.

Got the 'Why did the colonists fight the British' question wrong: assumed it was stictly about taxation (forgot about the 3rd Amendment and quartering of troops in houses).

Those questions could be answered by someone flipping burgers at McDonald’s...in Timbuktu.

Everyone should have to pass this test to gain their citizenship born here or not. It would certainly cut most of the illiterate, low information types from the voter rolls and jury pools.

Voting should be like driving. Gotta pass a test.

I also missed the selective service thing. It was passed after I’d turned 18. I also missed the date of the Constitution; said it was drafted in 1789, I thought it was drafted in 87 and ratified in 89, but I was wrong. I got all the others correct.

And it was way too easy. Way too liberal bent, too.

I missed the signing of the constitution too. probably would have done better if I read through them more slowly.

I took some other quiz awhile back that had scores from high schoolers, college grads, under grads and congressmen.
I don’t know if I should be proud that I outscored them or fell sad for the lack of knowledge of these people.
