Not exactly what he said... AAPL has been pursuing sustainability efforts for quite a while. One reason why their latest data center is powered largely solar power. The conservative group was complaining about AAPL pursuing those sorts of sustainability efforts. Cook said “To any who found the company’s environmental dedication either ideologically or economically ill-advised, they can “get out of the stock,”

Pretty reasonable comment. If you don’t like it. Don’t invest. Pretty simple.

After your response to me re: Cook/Johnson I actually read the above, and some of the body of the story. It doesn't look like Cook refers to "Climate-change deniers".

Apple was attacked a few years ago as being least environmentally friendly a few years ago, which probably struck a chord with some of their best customers (not us). Any competitive business cannot be expected to just ignore tax incentives in whatever manner they come.

Wind and solar aren't evil, they are just ordinarily niche applications, so there is no moral dimension to this particular business decision of Apple's.

The decision to build the new Mac Pro in the U.S. was probably in part also spurred by political customer opinion considerations.

Really? You think that’s reasonable? “you can get out.” Cook basically said my way or the highway and f... you if you don’t like it.
