Why don’t businesses have the basic American freedom to conduct to serve whomever they want? Why do they have to submit to the politically correct dictates of the government?

Senator Barry Goldwater, before he turned into an aging loony tunes lefty, opposed the Civil Rights Act for a good reason. It would extend the raw of the government into every corner of the economy. It leads to quotas for hiring, and today to quotas for homosexuals.

the raw of the government

Just because we're talking about an Asian-American actor doesn't mean you have to make fun of the way they talk. < /s >

And that was the camel’s nose under the tent. It was the destruction of freedom of association, and now we see what tyranny that has produced.

Private businesses rarely discriminate for good reason. If they do, they lose business. It was government that made Jim Crow laws, not business people.

The next thing will be the government forcing religious groups to accept people who are determined to destroy them.

Taki is an idiot.

But it sounds so good - “Civil Rights Act”!

The irony is that it was put in place to curb governments abuse of power. It was the federal government v. the states.

The truth is we’ve always had all the rights we need via the Constitution and our God-given rights. The CRA is redundant law that grants too much authority to bureaucrats.
