Would you like me to use smaller words?
In your case, knowing the unmitigated evil of the former, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are the latter. Have a nice day!
It can’t be put any better than what you said. I’ll compromise on none of them but lib RINOs already have on some and they should be voted out before they compromise on all.
BUMP That!!

Using Mitch McConnell as an example, what are his chances of pulling out a win in Kentucky? The base doesn’t trust him, his democrat opponent (last I heard) was actually even with him, and his primary opponent, Matt Bevins, is blistering the airwaves this week here in our greater Cincinnati/northern Kentucky area. He was closing on McConnell BEFORE his media assault began.
Now, relying on Kentucky being a red state is illogical, since it currently has a democrat governor, Steve Beshear, who is a potential Hillary running mate.
Mitch is losing because Mitch had no principles and the base is finally trying to spew him out of their mouths.
These recent articles are begging us not to upset Mitch McConnell’s apple cart or other republicans already in office so we can “win the congress.”
He’s losing anyway...all on his own.
You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means...
Later tater. Don’t hurt yourself and no running with scissors.
2012 WAS the turning point.
I had not even suggested such a thing, I'm not sure why you think I did.
I also don't think the author is suggesting we lose our principles, that kind of argument can be meaningless in the face of an evil such as is inherent with this administration.
What these various articles, both this and Sowell’s, are reminding us is not that Principled Individuals should surrender their principles.
Instead they are reminding us that all principled individuals acting as a group, had to compromise to develop an achievable plan and executable strategy. This happened at the the time of the Revolution, the Declaration and at the writing of the Constitution — all great acts done by a diverse group of principled people require a certain amount of compromise along with the resulting tempered unity to act as a group.
Is this harder than writing the Constitution? Does the solution have to be more perfect than the Constitution, a great document but certainly after two hundred years proving itself as limited as any written document?
If we don’t have a group of individuals large enough to win political struggles, we are then just a pair of marginal factions, refusing to unite.
The question is not, what principles are we ready to surrender on this time. The question is: How are we going to stop the progressive jaggernaut?
Indeed. Those who wish to keep voting for the GOPe can stay with the fold. Those who realize that they no longer represent us will no longer be fooled, no matter how many of their minions they send to FreeRepublic to browbeat and cajole us.
I'm sorry, as I said in my post to xzins, that kind of argument is just useless in the face of the evil we confront in this administration.
I never suggested we do that, from what I read, neither does the author. Taking your argument, Reagan was unfit for office for his prior acts as governor, and was a horrible president with no principles.
You are correct. I was not saying you did.
I was asking if that’s what the recent ARTICLES are asking us to do?
I have read the Rovian articles, I don't think THIS article is coming from there.
So, how is the answer to elect people who REFUSE to confront it??
Enough already, if you want to debate something, debate what I’ve ACTUALLY SAID!
Typical establishment BS!!!
Why don't the GOPe and the "leaders" grow up and act like adults that actually can read things like the Constitution?
From the West Point Military Academy Website:
West Point's role in our nation's history dates back to the Revolutionary War, when both sides realized the strategic importance of the commanding plateau on the west bank of the Hudson River. General George Washington considered West Point to be the most important strategic position in America. Washington personally selected Thaddeus Kosciuszko, one of the heroes of Saratoga, to design the fortifications for West Point in 1778, and Washington transferred his headquarters to West Point in 1779. Continental soldiers built forts, batteries and redoubts and extended a 150-ton iron chain across the Hudson to control river traffic. Fortress West Point was never captured by the British, despite Benedict Arnold's treason. West Point is the oldest continuously occupied military post in America.
Benedict Arnold's treason consisted of plotting to turn West Point over to the British.
So, with Benedict Arnolds as a generals in conservative ranks, we will probably not stop the progressive juggernaut. These traitors will continue to be in the most strategic of positions, and their betrayals will doom us to a socialist future.
