Kain Colter compares NU football training to Navy SEALs
The Northwestern football players hearing with the National Labor Relations Board in an attempt to unionize continued on Tuesday and former Kain Colter began his testimony.
While Colters testimony initially appeared to bolster the argument of the players, a comparison made between the Northwestern football team and Navy SEALs readying for operations in Iraq will likely draw backlash.
When asked by petitioning council about the preparation for a college football game, Colter likened it to military personnel preparing for operation in Iraq. Though he did go on to explain that Northwesterns football players are also preparing for their operations, the comparison appeared insensitive to those who actually prepare for warfare.
On the most technical level of comparison of the two circumstances, military personnel need to be ready at a moments notice while all football activity is scheduled for Northwestern.
More obviously, military personnel risk their lives when going to war while football players do not.

How many NU football players died as a result of their football games in the last 10 years, Kain?
How many NU football players have survived BUD/S, Kain?
Do they routinely imprison, interrogate, beat, and waterboard NU football players during training camp, Kain?
What an idiot. And how supremely stupid for CAPA to use this self-absorbed fool as a spokesman.
From the father of a Marine attack helo pilot and an Army surgeon treating far worse injuries at Walter Reed that any football player has ever suffered.
Here is their website URL: http://www.collegeathletespa.org/
This young man clearly knows nothing about BUD/S training.
What a p!$$ant.
He should ask Pat Tillman how college football compares to an assignment with a SOCOM unit...
..oh wait. Never mind. He can’t.
..Mr. Colter should complete just ONE DAY of hell week for being so stupid...just ONE DAY.
I heard St. Peter is an RI....
What a sniveling moron! Comparing anything to being a Navy SEAL or any type of special forces is an automatic loss.
I almost hope they do unionize as it will at best, cause them to be treated as employees and make the $50,000 plus in tuition and other benefits the receive taxable income, and at worst (and more likely) end the Northwestern football program, as the Big 10 and NCAA will not allow paid, professional players to compete.
It is best not to speak of things you know nothing about...............................
