If you watch House of Cards, To Play the King, and The Final Cut, the original British versions of American show, and all available on Youtube, his underlings refer to Francis as F.U. often.

While the British version is not as dark, (it was produced about 20 years ago) it is still a well written and performed drama. You grow to love and hate the original Francis just as much as Spacey.

I watched the original a few months ago. Enjoyable. The new version is not a clone. It uses the general outline and expands upon it.

Next season is going to be quite interesting.
