City Comptroller Scott Stringer on Wednesday criticized Mayor de Blasio for personally intervening when a politically connected preacher pal was busted by cops saying the mayor shouldnt be involved in any way when someone gets arrested....
And I certainly believe the mayor and take the mayors word that this was certainly something that he was doing, not out of giving someone special treatment, but when you do make that call you do have to answer a lot of questions.
New York state Republican Chairman Ed Cox called on Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to investigate what he called de Blasios abuse of power.
New Yorks law enforcement apparatus should be beyond reproach, Cox said....
But a former Brooklyn prosecutor who recently left the District Attorneys Office told The Post: If you have just one open warrant, you get processed and you dont get released.
The pastor had two thats a double whammy. It doesnt matter how minor the crime is, the ex-prosecutor said.

Today, it's interference in the judicial process. What'll it be tomorrow?
So hypocritical
And they expected something different from an avowed communist why?
Bawana Bill refuses to talk about it!
Hey, if you can’t watch out for your friends all along the way, what’s the point of getting elected to important office? There is the circle of “protected people” that are to be regarded as untouchables, and it is disgraceful and demeaning to handle them in any other than with the greatest and most gingerly care. < /sarcasm >
So, how is this any different with 'Rats (the mayor) calling on the IRS (the cops) to use their power against Tea Party 501(c) groups (conservatives)?
I guess the US of A has it’s own version of London’s Red Ken now.
Stringer wasn’t the one busted - it was a De Blasio buddy, a left-wing “activist” black minister who had two open warrants that turned up when he was stopped for a traffic violation.
De Blasio got the minister sprung from jail, even though people normally get jailed until the warrants are sorted out.
Between this story yesterday and the fact that he kept City schools open today, it’s gonna be a tough weekend for the Mayor.
