Here here...
Government is always more concerned about perception than results... As long as they “do something” and look good, they are satisfied... a very low bar indeed...
National Weather Service is currently saying 30-27-30 for overnight lows on Tues-Wed-Thurs
I’ve been having trouble with busted pipes. Even Saturday night another one broke here and it didn’t freeze that night. Plumber didn’t charge me because two weeks ago he had to fix several here and this might have been some oversight or something. I have a great plumber.
Got my A/C fixed! Was a melted wire. (SFL)
78deg 57%hum right now.
Hey algore, this is pretty close to ideal. I vote for this climate.
You seem to think we can alter the weather right?

yes, when you see the words “freezing rain” you know you are screwed. Thats an ice storm. So far they are predicting no more than a quarter inch of ice on branches, wires etc but if it gets thicker than that we start losing power. Mr. GG2 is stacking wood on the porch as I type.
Wife did all the shopping last weekend. Unfortunately I won’t be there to enjoy it. I’ll be staying at work the next couple of nights. Hooray for Netflix!
“Hooray for Netflix!”
Our cable goes down when the power goes out. Used to be I could still get on email over the old-fashioned phone line. I suppose with my smart-phone I would still have email. Anyway - might want to have a book as well. Good luck. Do you have a critical job - or just can’t/don’t want to do the commute?
I manage an office building with a lot of financial firms in it. We have to be open whenever the markets are so I’ll stay at work the next few days. In addition to cable I’ve got fiber optic networks run in the building from three or four different providers. I’ll have my Netflix but I brought a book as well.
