Chick-fil-A gives free food to motorists stranded in Southern snowstorm

Motorists stranded on Highway 280, Birmingham, Ala, found food and shelter thanks to the kindness and generosity of Chick-fil-A owner, Mark Meadows. Founded by a Christian family, it’s no secret that the business is run on biblical values.

Once Chick-Fil-a determined that stranded drivers, stuck in their cars for nearly seven hours, went without food or water, the Chick-fil-A staff went into action, cooking several hundred sandwiches then braving the icy storm to hand out the sandwiches.

Chick-Fil-a staffers braved the falling snow and ice, slipping and sliding, as they offered their famous hot juicy chicken breasts tucked between two buttered buns. Chick-fil-A refused to take a single penny for their sandwiches. The meal was a gift – no strings attached.

It all began when the snow started accumulating, so Chick-Fil-a manager Mark Meadows closed up and sent his staff home. But a few hours later, many of them returned – unable to get to their homes. “Our store is about a mile and a half from the interstate and it took me two hours to get there,” Chick-Fil-A manager Audrey Pitt told a reporter. “It was a parking lot as far as I could see.” Audrey left her car on the side of the interstate and joined a flock of bundled up drivers trudging through the snow.“At one point there were more people walking than driving,” she said.

“For I was hungry and you gave me to eat,” Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew. “I was thirsty and you gave me to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” .......an ordinary Sunday school lesson played out on a winter day in Alabama with a chicken sandwich and a side of waffle fries.

News clips/reports showed cars stranded by a massive snowfall which no one expected....no weather warnings, lack of snow removal equipment, and the like, added to the distress.

Another example of “global warming” (snix).

Evil Chick-fil-A, depriving other businesses of the opportunity to make a buck by selling food to stranded motorists. And depriving the State (and city) of the sales tax revenue due from those sales. In fact, get the AL IRS on the phone - they can charge Chick-fil-A with tax evasion if they don’t remit the sales tax due on the imputed value of these give-aways.

I love Chik-fil-a !

There are 3 within a few miles in each direction here in Sunrise FL (burb of Ft. Lauderdale).
But I have my favorite.

I sit here to the west of them in Memphis and we haven’t gotten the first flake this year. My sister in law down in Mobile had to buy her boys gloves because it never gets cold down there. Strange times

No less a sophisticate than Esquire Mag named Chick-fil-a one of the nation's best sandwiches.

ESQUIRE REVIEW You can get a chicken sandwich anywhere, which may explain your low expectations. Boneless breast. Bun. Blah. But down south, there lives an eye-opener.

A come-to-Jesus sandwich. The Chick-fil-A. Seasoned, breaded breast served on a toasted buttered bun with dill- pickle slices. No mayo. No sauce at all. Deceptively simple, yet transcendent. The hook is the breading: spicy, with an intoxicating crunch.

The meat is always juicy, never chewy. The bun is like lingerie -- there, but not, providing delicious support without obscuring the main flavor. The first bite changes everything you think you know about chicken. And about the need for condiments. -- Allison Glock

Here's your deluxe Chick-Filet-a sandwich:
w/ frilly lettuce leaf, vine-ripened tomato slices
cheese slice; add a side of hot, crisp waffle fries and
large iced lemonade, couple containers of CFA's luscious
"special sauce" and you got lunch.

REMEMBER WHEN? Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel gracefully plied into the gay controversy created after Alderman Proco Joe Moreno (1st ward) publicly announced his opposition to Chick-Fil-A opening in his ward.

Mayor Rham chuckled while doing a graceful plie: "It's easy to do business in Chicago when you know 'the rules.' Chick-Fil-A can open in our town as long as it adopts 'Chicago Values.' "

(1) weekly cash pay off to the alderman;

(2) hire six of the alderman's friends who work only random days of the month,

(3) BIG AL from the Mayor's office picks up all cash in brown paper bags at CFA's back door,

(4) Chick Fil A staff trained by Chicago PD to shoot 10-12 customers per month,

(5) Any CFA customers actually killed must be registered to vote as Democrats at the autopsies,

(6) $100,00 campaign contribution to Obama,

(7) free food to Jesse Jackson, Jr, who was supposedly "convalescing," before sentencing, b/c he screwed up buying Obama's Senate seat.

A large number of liberal drivers were later found dead from starvation after refusing to accept anything from Chic-Fil-A. Unfortunately, there are still plenty more where they came from.

I was amazed to hear of the numerous liberal and homosexual organizations that got out to help stranded motorists.

It might look good on the surface but I'm sure that it is really an evil act - remember these people are pro-life, homophobic Christians!! You can never ever trust them - hey, they might have even prayed over the food before they delivered it. You can never underestimate their level of depravity.

At least that's what the mainstream media has taught me. It must be true, right?

Yup-—it’s a good thing we got the “tolerant and compassionate” MSM to explain all of this to us (cackle).
