What you have on display here is the key difference between a nation that had to win their independence through blood and toil and one which had their independence handed to them.

Never forget that, nor forget that we are not far from going down the same road if we continue to buy tyranny by the drink.

Up here in Loonielefturdia, the facists install laws when they are elected and use these facist regulations to impose their intolerant anti freedom bigotted agenda. They fool the foolish useful idiots in the mindless grazing herd into voting for them. This has always been the way the enemies of justice and freedom have gained control historically. The same pos are trying it in the USA...know this and be cautious. The USA is the greatest nation in the world and if it falls, every other will fall.

Also, might I add that freedom tastes different to those that have fought for it, which is why so many elected "representatives" willingly infringe - freedom is meaningless to them as they never had to fight for it.

Oh come on - how do you get to that conclusion? There's no reasonable connection between those two events. The real problem Canada has is a surfeit of "freedom" with an insane all encompassing Human Rights act - and if you dont think that isn't coming to your country soon, I'm sorry but you're wrong.

Oh, and point of information: The Canadians DID have to fight for their independence. They had to fight the US for it.
