I thought Sherman was a jerk but then I saw some interviews with him as well as listened to the “wired” game sounds.

He’s actually intelligent and articulate. I think he got caught up in the heat of the moment.

By the way, right before the Erin Andrews interview, he gave her a big hug. He seemed to me more like a big kid than a jerk after watching the tape in it’s entirety and not just the Andrews interview.

I think anyone that has played sports and has won a big game against a fierce rival can identify.

Also, Michael Crabtree had started an incident with Sherman at a charity event earlier this Summer and the two had to be separated that led to the bad blood between them.

Sherman actually went to shake Crabtree’s hand after the game and congratulate him on a well-played game when Crabtree hit him in the face, which I can also understand.

Sherman’s team just won the biggest game arguably in franchise history and Sherman was high on adrenaline and a seasons worth of emotion came out all at once.

Here he is when he isn’t jacked up after a game:

Quite a different guy then what the media has been showing us.

Sherman graduated in 2010 from Stanford (Played for 49er coach Jim Harbaugh) with a degree in communications and returned for his final year of eligibility in order to begin a Masters degree.

He wasn’t drafted until the 5th round, so he plays with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but he is arguably the best cover corner in the NFL.

Sherman is being made out to be the bad guy, but there are two sides to every story.

I think the bottom line is that Sherman was ramped up on adrenaline and the words were coming out of his mouth faster than he could think them.

He threatened a woman with physical violence on national TV. So much for that “communications” degree, which we know is one of the most academically rigorous of post secondary educational pursuits./sarc
